Two Summer Solstice Dreams
Sleep came as I meditated on the phrase "concious only of being concious."

Floating bodilessly in the dark void, I looked and in the distance in front of me were some ten or eleven discs. Like coins, they lay in a line. flat on an invisible surface, illuminated from within and connected by tiny shimmering threads. The whole irridescent assemblage seemed to float gently on some wind-like current or ocean wave. I could feel their intelligence - they seemed to be awaiting some proclamation from me. I turned my vision to the left, then to the right. Galaxies and nebulae were suspended in the distance all around. When I looked foward the discs were still there, glimmering in their power and their silence.
In a large city I was with some friends who had gathered for a special occasion. I began singing "Tua Neter," and a couple of people joined in with me. The song opened with a melody that was familiar, but as we began to express our words new melodies and harmonies emerged. We finished the song, and now were ready to sing another, which we did. More voices joined in. The songs were all spontaneous, yet complete in every detail. I started another song, but it fell flat. I suddenly became preoccupied with the notion of giving money to somebody. I looked at two ten-dollar bills in my wallet. I started telling everybody I have to give this money to someone - I had no idea who. I began walking. Coming to a subway stair, I went down. Someone behind me said, "The person you are looking for is down there." Arriving at the bottom, I saw a flea market. I approached a vendor, waving the bills in my hand. She pointed to a door on the side of the stairwell and said "There." I looked. the door had a padlock on it. I knocked. "Who is it!" came the answer. Before I could speak, the door opened just a crack. I handed the money through. Then I turned back toward the street, and walked away.
